Who plans this event?
The American Feed Industry Association’s Pet Food Committee oversees the planning of the conference. AFIA thanks these 17 dedicated leaders representing all segments of the pet food industry for their hard work in planning a fantastic program.
What are the registration costs?
Registration for the Pet Food Conference will begin on October 7, 2024. The advanced registration fee is $115 if you register by Jan. 10, 2025. After that, the rates go up to $160. You will also be required to register for the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) at the same time – fees vary based on if you are a pet food manufacturer, exhibitor or general attendee.

Where can I book a hotel room?
Hotel rooms are available at several locations in the Atlanta area via the IPPE approved housing bureau. List of available hotels can be found here.
Who and why should I attend?
Who? This program is designed for pet food and pet treat manufacturers and those supporting the industry, such as ingredient manufacturers and equipment suppliers.
Why? The American Feed Industry Association’s (AFIA) annual Pet Food Conference covers a variety of topics from regulatory issues to the technical aspects of pet food production to product claims, marketing and nutrition.
What is the International Production & Processing Expo?
IPPE is the largest annual animal food, poultry production and meat processing tradeshow. For 2025, IPPE will take over A, B, BC and C halls of the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, bringing together more than 1,400 exhibitors and 32,000 visitors. Mark your calendar to join us Jan. 28 - 30, 2025.

What is the registration cancellation policy?
There are no refunds being offered at this time. AFIA reserves the right to cancel any conference it deems necessary to comply with state and local health and safety guidelines or otherwise. AFIA will not be responsible for costs incurred by registrants.
Is the conference approved for ARPAS credits?

What is the dress code?
Business casual.

What are the terms and conditions of registering?
By registering for AFIA’s conference, you are agreeing that any photos or videos taken throughout the conference or at any networking events may be used for AFIA’s communications and marketing purposes. AFIA also reserves the right to use recorded proceedings in any matter for marketing purposes. You agree to abide by the AFIA Antitrust Compliance and Confidentiality Policy. Registrants will receive a name badge that must be worn for entry into all speaking sessions, exhibit halls, meals and social functions. AFIA reserves the right to deny entry into the conference or to cancel any conference it deems necessary. AFIA will not be responsible for airfare, hotel or other costs incurred by registrants.
