Buyers Scholarship Program

AFIA is once again offering a “Buyers to PISC” program this year. AFIA is targeting member-company professionals in buying roles who normally would not have the opportunity to attend this annual event. Five individuals will receive complimentary registration to the 2021 PISC in Orlando in addition to other paid travel expenses. Suppliers Showcase 

For the fourth time at PISC, the committee will host a meet-and-greet session for buyers. For a list of who is participating, click here. This year, the area will be prominently displayed in the networking room. Ten suppliers will be able to showcase their products during designated times, offering a great opportunity to meet buyers and provide more information about their products. Booths will need to be manned by a company representative during the suppliers showcase sessions. Space is only available to ten AFIA member companies on a first paid, first served basis at a fee of $500 per booth. Member companies are limited to 1 booth per company. Suppliers Listing

For the second time at PISC, suppliers from member companies will be able to purchase a company listing. Your company name, brief description and contact information will be listed for attendees to view within the event mobile app. Listings are only available to AFIA member companies on a first come, first served basis. The fee is $100 per member company, per listing. Blood Drive 

New in 2021, AFIA will be hosting a blood drive at PISC. The country is facing a SEVERE BLOOD BANK SHORTAGE. Donors like you are urged to give now to help ensure lifesaving blood is available for patients across the country. Hospital demand continues to outpace donations, and your help is vital. Please help AFIA as we try to give back to Florida and the country.  The blood drive will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the networking room, Windsong 1-6.  Book your reservation time now using this link. Private Meeting Rooms 

Interested in hosting a special event for your customers at PISC? This opportunity is available to all members, but space is limited and only available on a first come, first served basis. You must be registered for PISC to reserve a room and only one room per member company will be allowed in 2021. If all the space is not booked by July 16, 2021, additional rooms may be available for companies requesting more than one. Want to Serve on the PISC Committee?

Would you like to serve on the AFIA PISC committee? The committee sponsors the Purchasing & Ingredient Suppliers Conference. We are currently seeking volunteers to serve on the committee, which meets twice a year.
