A Thank You to Our Members

Reflecting on the successes of the American Feed Industry Association, during this holiday season, we would like to take a moment to express our gratitude toward our members. Your commitment and contributions this year have been the driving force behind our collective success!.  

Within AFIA’s new strategic plan, there is a strong emphasis on harnessing the collective voice and diversity of our membership and to increase member engagement in AFIA programs, education and networking opportunities. We have been working diligently to actively solicit member input and ideas through several different approaches over the past year.  

We do this by creating deeper connections through both in-person and virtual member meetings. The AFIA team has spent a lot of time on the road, living our strategic plan goals that focus on the Four Promises we make to our membership.   

The objectives of these meetings are threefold: 

• to learn more about the business interests, needs and concerns of our individual members. 

• to share information about policy and regulatory work and engagement opportunities. 

• to collectively brainstorm about how to enhance our work together and best serve the needs of their company as a valued AFIA member. 

As part of our increased efforts to connect with our members, we also encourage our members to get involved with their industry association. Participation from members is very important as it is the glue that holds our organization together and helps us reach the industry's goals!  

Members can sign up for member interest groups to ensure they are getting important information. Or they can get engaged in committees. With committee elections taking place in the spring, now is a great time to start thinking about how you can give back to your industry through service on any one of the 14 AFIA committees.
