Policies and Terms of Use for the AFIA Blog

The American Feed Industry Association’s blog is intended to provide staff and expert context into current issues impacting the animal food industry and outlooks on the future. It is not intended to market products or services and must abide by AFIA’s antitrust compliance policy and as such, all guest commentaries are reviewed by AFIA’s communications team prior to posting.

Comments that are respectful in tone and language and are aimed at facilitating the dialogue on an issue or serve to answer questions will be permitted, following a brief review by the blog’s moderators. The moderators have the discretion to delete or dis-allow comments that: include profanity, are political in nature, could be construed as marketing, or violate any of the equal opportunity laws, which AFIA abides by.

Blog posts must be original and no more than 800 words in length. By submitting a guest commentary for publication, the author is confirming that the content (including photos) is original and not subject to another person or entity’s copyright. Guest authors also agree to grant AFIA a royalty-free license in perpetuity to edit, publish, republish and create derivative works from blog posts for any other AFIA communications medium, including those not in existence at the time the license is granted, with appropriate author credits.
