Feed Manufacturing Technology Online

How do I access the FMT Online?

1. Go to afia.org and click on the MY AFIA button at the top of the webpage.
2. With your username and password, log into the AFIA member portal. For step by step instructions on how to login, click here. 
3. Click on FMT Online icon .
4. Click on the Feed Manufacturing Technology tab.

What happens if the purchaser of the FMT Online subscription leaves the company?

If the purchaser leaves the company, the remainder of the subscription can be transferred to another employee. Contact Erica Burson, AFIA’s membership manager, at (703) 666-8856, or Shakera Daley, AFIA’s office and certifications manager, at (703) 558-3571.

How do employees at different facilities access the FMT Online?

You need a subscription for at least one employee at each facility. Contact Erica Burson, AFIA’s membership manager, at (703) 666-8856, to make sure that your plant manager, or whichever plant employee will use the subscription, is in the AFIA database and if they are not, we will add them and they can then purchase a subscription. The AFIA offers member discounts for 25 or more subscriptions, contact Shakera Daley, AFIA’s office and certifications manager at (703) 558-3571, for more information.

When updates are made to the FMT, will I get notified?

Yes, included in your online subscription will be notifications when sections or chapters are updated. The updates will automatically be reflected in those sections or chapters the next time you login.  

Feed Manufacturing Technology Print

Can I purchase a printed version of the FMT?

Yes, when you order, select either the “FMT Print” or the “FMT Print and Online 12-month Subscription Combo” product, which is both a printed copy (in a three-ring binder) and a 12-month online subscription.

Where can printed copies be shipped to?

Currently, we are only shipping to locations in the U.S. and Canada.

I purchased an FMT Online subscription but now I want a printed copy, can I do that?

Yes, please contact Erica Burson, AFIA’s membership manager, at (703) 666-8856, or Shakera Daley, AFIA’s office and certifications manager, at (703) 558-3571, for assistance with this matter.

When updates are made to the FMT, will I get an updated printed copy?

No, when you purchase the printed copy, you automatically receive the most recent copy available. If you wish to update your printed copy when new sections or chapters as they are released, you will need to purchase an additional printed copy. Is the printed copy in a bound book?

No, the printed copy is in a three-ring binder and is black and white.

Bulk Orders and Payments

Can I pay for multiple FMT subscriptions with one payment from a central office?

Yes, you can purchase multiple subscriptions with one form of payment by contacting Shakera Daley, AFIA’s office and certifications manager, at (703) 558-3571.

I need to purchase FMT subscriptions for multiple plants and/or multiple people. Are there bulk-pricing discounts?

If your company wishes to purchase 25 or more subscriptions to the FMT, there is a member discounted bulk rate. Contact Shakera Daley, AFIA’s office and certifications manager, at (703) 558-3571, for more information.

Student Discounts

I am a university student. Can I purchase an FMT Online subscription at a discounted rate?

Yes, university students may purchase either a 6- or a 12-month subscription to the FMT Online at a substantial discount. To receive the discount, you must be added to the AFIA database, be issued a username and set a password. Contact Erica Burson, AFIA’s membership manager, at (703) 666-8856, for more information.

General Questions

Do I or my company have to be an AFIA member to purchase the FMT Online?

You do not have to be an AFIA member to purchase the FMT Online. However, as a membership benefit, AFIA members receive discounted prices for the FMT Online and other products.
